SHUBB PEARSE SLIDES
Shubb-Pearse guitar steels feature unique cutaway ends for improved control,
and a semi-bullet tip for easy movement across the strings. Specially shaped for proper
balance, each steel is machined from solid brass and is heavily chrome plated for smooth
action. Designed by players, these are among the highest quality steels available.
SP1 model is 3-3/8" long and is favored by many 8-string and Hawaiian lap steel players for its extra length.
SP2 features extra mass for improved tone, and a double cutaway for even more control of single notes and pulloffs. It's a favorite for Dobro® and 6-string lap steel guitars.
SP3 designed by Sally Van Meter for playing bluegrass, or any of today’s demanding slide guitar styles. It’s built for speed, precision, control, and great tone.
SP4 is basic steel: the same familiar shape many players have used for years, but features the superior materials and workmanship associated with all of the Shubb products.

Robert Randolph is taking the steel guitar into a whole new direction, and people are sitting up and taking notice.
We couldn't help but notice that he was using one of our bars.
A few generations of prototypes later, we arrived at the two bars that Robert now endorses and uses exclusively.
Model RR1 large and heavy, 3 1/4" long, 6 1/4 ounces. Model RR2 large and heavier, 3 1/4" long, 7 1/2 ounces.
