The AP5 incorporates a sculpted frequency curve, designed to perfectly complement your guitar's acoustic tone. 	Maton AP5 Mic Pickup System for acoustic guitars Preamp only Using the same circuitry and pickup as the AP5, the APMic features an "Add On" microphone, positioned just inside the treble side of the sound hole. The microphone is used as a blend; the typical setting would be appoximately 10% mic and 90% pickup.
