PURE SYSTEMS PASSIVE
Passive system for classical, nylon string guitar, four pickup heads, endpin jack
The Pure Classic is passive system for classical guitar, with four pickup heads and an endpin jack. It is a
transducer systems only and does not include a battery or on-board electronics. Don't be fooled by the
sound of some competitors' "thin sounding" passive systems--the Pure Systems are definitely different.
They sound full and rich and have sufficient output to drive most amps and PA systems directly!
How is the Pure Classic installed?
Does not include a preamp.
The Pure Classic is designed to be installed with superglue for optimum sound transmission. For the players who
do not wish to do this we also supply a special extra thin double stick tape for peel-and-stick removable installation.
Pickups mounted with this tape require a preamp. The peel-and-stick installation cuts off a little bit at both the
low and high end plus the output is reduced by about 30% compared to the superglue installation.

ULTRA PURE SYSTEMS ACTIVE
Active system for nylon, classical guitar, with four pickup heads, internal preamp, endpin jack, and battery mount.
The UltraPure Classic is an active system for nylon, classical guitar. It comprises a four-head bridge plate pickup,
an onboard preamp with soundhole access, an endpin jack, and a Velcro mounted 9-volt battery holder. The pickup is
based on our time-tested Pure Classic, which excels at amplifying the natural tone of your guitar. The UltraPure
preamp offers precise 3 band EQ as well as a gain control to finetune bass, mid, treble and gain.
Our goal was to build an acoustic guitar transducer system that does not sound as harsh and percussive as the common
state-of-the-art saddle transducers do. We were looking for a warmer, more "microphone-like" tone with the ability to
achieve the high-gain-before-feedback characteristics of saddle pickups. After thorough testing we concluded that
surface transducers positioned directly underneath the bridge inside the guitar body represent the ideal solution by
yielding an excellent response from the guitar top, while minimizing feedback problems.
How is the UltraPure Classic installed?
The pickups are designed to be installed with superglue for optimum sound transmission. For the players who do not
wish to do this we also supply a special extra thin double stick tape for peel-and-stick removable installation.
The peel-and-stick installation cuts off a little bit at both the low and high end plus the output is reduced by
about 30% compared to the superglue installation.
Installing the preamp requires no destructive alteration to your instrument. The preamp is mounted inside the guitar
at the edge of the soundhole, using a super-strong neodymium magnet (that is attched to your guitar with Velcro),
giving you convenient access to the volume slider during performance. Just pull the unit out a bit (remember, it is held
in place by a strong magnet) and adjust the EQ and gain trimpots with a miniature screw driver. This needs to be done
only once to perfectly balance your guitar in respect to the amplification system you are using.
TRINITY CLASSIC
Active system for nylon, classical guitar,
The Trinity Classic is a dual source pickup/internal mic system with a dual-channel preamp for nylon-string guitars.
The four-head, bridge plate pickup is based on the same technology as our Pure Classic. The Trinity microphone features
an integrated 5" gooseneck (allowing it to be positioned in a number of ways, incuding outside the soundhole) and
20-20,000 Hz frequency range. The Trinity Preamp is a dual-channel, external, beltclip model with adjustable
gain-vol-bass-mid-treb for each channel. The system comes with a stereo endpin jack and a 6-foot stereo cable--no
soldering required!
Why choose the Trinity Classic over a solo pickup, like the Pure Classic?
The Trinity Preamp allows for individual sound adjustment of mic and pickup. It is built applying K&K's
]"Silent-Filter-Technology" and our full size component philosophy. We use full size capacitors and other
parts because we find they sound better that the miniature components in most of today's competitors preamps.
Outside accessible volume controls and internal adjustable gain/EQ controls with +/- 20 dB bass, midrange and treble
filters (trimpots) for each individual channel make this little preamp extremely versatile and powerful.
The Trinity Classic delivers an even more authentic tone than the Pure Classic pickup alone. The mic adds some extra
air and shimmer to the overall sound, which is very beneficial to the purely acoustic guitarist. The mic can be included
in the mix as much as the situation allows for, using the preamp's controls. As a general rule, the lower the stage
volume, the more mic can be blended in. This system is great for home recordings too!

FANTASTIK CLASSIC UNDERSADDLE
Undersaddle transducer for nylon string guitars
This transducer was developed to transfer a maximum of corpus sound elements inside the bridge. The real guitar sound with all its natural frequencies is being recorded directly at the sound source.
To meet these requirements, the K&K engineers created the "super-light" construction principle. Only ultra-thin material mantles the piezo-crystals and ensures the unrestrained spreading of the corpus wood vibrations to the crystals.
An electronic post-processing to improve the sound is not required anymore, as opposed to other bridge pickups.
The protected "super-light" construction is the main difference to other bridge pickup transducers.
At the same time, this construction method results in another positive effect: The FanTaStick is extremely flexible and adjusts easily to any arched base.
To balance the volumes of each string, we measure each crystal separately within a nano-inch range. Only six crystals of exactly the same height are combined to one FanTaStick. Furthermore, each crystal is fit in according to a defined direction of polarization.
Even playing in "open tunings" is possible, because the FanTaStick already functions with low string pressure.
The FanTaStick can be directly connected to an amplifier or mixer. However, for optimum adaptation of impedance of this extremely high-ohmic pickup to standard line or amplifier inputs, we recommend the use of the K&K preamps.
